Phuket Pilot Active · 2026

Every minute,
a garbage truck
of plastic enters
our oceans.

We are a small Swiss non-profit doing something about it. Not with promises. With gloves, bags, local workers, and a river in Phuket that we refuse to let carry one more kilogram of plastic into Phang Nga Bay.

Microplastics have been found in human brain tissue, placentas, and the lungs of newborns. Adults now ingest the equivalent of one credit card's worth of microplastics every week. This is no longer an environmental issue. It is a human health emergency.

Why Phuket. Why Now.

Phuket is one of the most visited islands on Earth. It is also one of the most plastic-polluted. A single river outlet flowing toward Phang Nga Bay carries hundreds of kilograms of plastic waste into the ocean every week. The beaches that attract millions of tourists are the same beaches where local children play and local fishermen work.

Southeast Asia accounts for over 55% of all ocean-bound plastic globally. The problem is not a lack of awareness. It is a lack of organised, funded, verifiable action at the local level.

That is exactly what we are building. Not a campaign. Not a hashtag. A team, a river, a scale, and a weekly report.

Our Three-Track Approach

We do not just remove plastic. We intercept it, prevent it, and restore what it destroyed.

01

Removal

River-to-Bay Interception

Physical collection of plastic at river outlets and hotspot beaches in Phuket. Weekly weight logs, GPS-tagged photo documentation, and responsible downstream recycling of PET, HDPE, and PP materials.

02

Prevention

Education & Supply Chain

School programmes for ages 15–20 in Phuket Province. Verified supply chain tracking and recycling infrastructure support. Teaching the next generation before the problem reaches them.

03

Restoration

Mangrove Reforestation

The next phase: replanting mangrove ecosystems that act as natural plastic barriers and carbon sinks. Pathway to Verra-certified plastic and carbon credits for corporate partners.

"The planet doesn't have the luxury of waiting for my millions. And I don't know how much time I personally have. All I really have is now."

Long-Term Vision

10 Coastal Provinces.
10,000 Tonnes.
By 2030.

The Phuket pilot is the proof of concept. If we can show that a small, transparent, locally-operated team can remove plastic at a verifiable cost and issue internationally recognised credits — we can replicate it across Southeast Asia. That is the plan. Right now, we are on step one.
